Baseel announced as latest National Ambassador

Today, the National Cyber Resilience Centre Group (NCRCG) has announced Baseel as a National Ambassador, building on the organisation’s existing support for the wider Cyber Resilience Centre (CRC) network.

As a National Ambassador, the technology company will be working with government and policing at a national level to embed cyber resilience across the UK economy. Thanks to the organisation’s global portfolio, it will also be working to promote the benefits of the CRC network model internationally.

Baseel is already an ardent supporter of the CRC network, working closely with four of the nine regional centres – Eastern, London, North East and South East – as a Cyber Essentials Partner. The organisation joins a growing group of NCRCG National Ambassadors which include Aviva, CGI, Chainalysis, KPMG, Mastercard, Microsoft, NatWest Group, Resilience, SANS Institute, SAS and The Very Group.

This Ambassadorial role forms part of the company’s wider work in Corporate Social Responsibility and its support of charities in the UK and around the globe. The organisation provides the backbone to the Maulee Foundation, a charity which aims to promote sustainable development and improve the lives of marginalised communities around the world. It also supports Global CISO Society, a not-for-profit organisation which provides a platform for cyber professionals to collaborate and tackle common challenges.

Paresh Deshmukh, Group CEO of Baseel Group, said: “Baseel is proud to join NCRCG as a National Ambassador. With our connections in the Middle East, India and Africa, we can be a catalyst to initiate multiple joint projects with a great socio-economic impact. We are quite keen to play a key role in securing global businesses, with the main focus on SMEs and the public sector.”

Detective Superintendent Ian Kirby, CEO at NCRCG, said: “We are delighted to welcome Baseel on board as a National Ambassador – an organisation which has seen the real strength and impact of the network at a regional level and decided to take their commitment even further.

“In the UK, Baseel is known to many small and medium-sized businesses as a trusted Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus provider. But, with a customer base spanning more than 60 countries, Baseel brings to the table extensive insights and experience of businesses across the globe and their cyber needs – as well as a platform to promote the CRC model internationally. We very much look forward to working with them.”
