Congratulations, Sophie; we at the National Cyber Resilience Centre Group (NCRCG) and those at West Midlands Cyber Resilience Centre are excited about your win and proud of your achievements. Your win was well-earned and deserved.

It was very pleasing to see a Cyber PATH student named as a finalist; it’s even more gratifying that she won this prestigious award. The announcement was made at The National Cyber Awards® held at the London Novotel West last night (Monday, 25th September 2023).

Speaking about Sophie’s win, Nick Bell, NCRCG chief executive, commented: “We are all delighted with Sophie’s achievement, and it was great to be here on the night to see her win the award.

“Cyber PATH is an essential programme for the NCRCG and the regional cyber resilience centres; it provides an elite talent pipeline of the brightest students who want to help shore up the nation’s defences against cyber crime. Sophie’s win adequately demonstrates the value of the programme and the quality of the students we work with throughout England and Wales.

“I hope Sophie’s success encourages many more students to join the programme in the future.”
