National and Regional Cyber Resilience Centres feature in the launch of a new ITN Business programme – The Cyber Impact

We were delighted to be interviewed on The Cyber Impact, a new programme produced by ITN Business, anchored by ITN Presenter Sharon Thomas from ITN’s London studios. The Cyber Impact will raise awareness of cyber threats faced by individuals and organisations in the UK and the ongoing response and solutions to these threats.

Launched at the International Cyber Expo, Olympia, London, 26th September 2023, ITN Business has partnered with the International Cyber Expo (ICE) 2023, the UK’s leading Cyber event, to premiere a news-style programme, ‘The Cyber Impact’.

As part of the programme’s launch this week, The National Cyber Resilience Centre Group Chief Executive Nick Bell was joined by Simon Newman, Chief Executive at The Cyber Resilience Centre for London, to explain the work of the National and Regional Cyber Resilience Centres.

The unique news-style, reporter-led programme will explore the issues of our interconnected world, raising awareness of the cyber threats faced by individuals and organisations and the solutions for safeguarding systems and information.

Anchored by journalist and presenter Sharon Thomas from ITN’s London studios, ‘The Cyber Impact’ will explore the importance of cybersecurity in a post-pandemic world and will include content looking at:

  • security blind spots, including talent shortages, showing what is being done to address the skills gap
  • the impact of the growing threat of Ransomware, Phishing, Spyware and others
  • the role of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity
  • how businesses and individuals can protect their data
  • the role of the Government and the NCRCG to help increase cyber resilience in the UK

The programme will feature expert interviews with thought leaders from the National Cyber Resilience Centre Group and the UK Cyber Security Council and hearing from organisations actively advancing the ongoing response and solutions to cyber threats. A digital launch and marketing campaign support the programme and will be hosted on the ITN Business content hub.

Talking about why the NCRCG were pleased to get involved with The Cyber Impact, Chief Executive Nick Bell commented: “We wish ITN Business every success with The Cyber Impact; anything that helps to raise awareness of cyber threats faced by individuals and organisations is very welcome. And participation at the International Cyber Expo and in programmes such as The Cyber Impact enables us to highlight the ongoing support we can offer nationally and through the regional centres.”
